This will be the 3rd time that Shar and I have gone to Miguel Aleman and Templo Belen and I’m excited to go this time as the first, but only more thankful. This morning (thursday) Shar in our van had a collison with a semi. Shar was spared any injuries, but the van didn’t fare so well. I’m thankful to God that no one was hurt and that someone else will be able to drive to Detroit.
I would like eveyone to keep the group in your prayers for safe travel, as we work and our interaction with the people at Templo Belen and other people we meet in our travel.
Today was a great day. This morning I rode withAngel to pickup kids from the neighborhood and we came back with about 25 kids. Angel seem to drive in circles, but we cover a little distance. The kids were standing on the seats and kneeling on the floor lookingout the windows. After getting to the church Art stole the show with Archie and his magic.
This afternoon we started working on the room. We made good progress. We have the I have tostop now I’m bleeding.
Just thought I should let you know why I was bleeding. While working in the room I was drilling a hole for an anchor when the hammer drill grabbed and spun around and hit me in the head. There was a small cut with lots of blood. Shar and Judy stop the bleeding, cleaned me up and I went back to work. But every so often it would bleed again and run down my head. Thats what happen while writing in the blog and I didn`t want to bloody Art`s laptop.
In a little while we will be worshipping with Templo Belen and if its like last year the place will be rocken and rollen.
Hi, Dale & Shar. Thanks for letting us know about this link so we can follow your journey in Mexico. What an awesome opportunity for all of you. We were sorry to hear about Shar’s accident and your trouble with the hammer drill. Maybe you should stay away from dangerous equipment like that! We’re praying for you and the entire team while you’re gone. Keep posting so we’ll know what’s going on.
What an awesome day yesterday! Worshipping with the people at Templo Belen is just great. We may not know the words to all the songs, they are in spanish, or unterstand what Pastor David was saying, but you knew the Holy Spirit was in that place. The way people respond is alot different then in good old Holland Michigan. There is dancing in the aisles and pews, alot of amens and Glorifing God in other ways. Maybe we have to get rid of our hangups on how to glorify God?
Thanks for all the prayes.
Hey Grandpa,
I’m glad to hear that you are okay after your little incident with the hammer drill. We would like you to come home all in one piece so be careful while using dangerous equipment! Tell Grandma that im happy that she is okay after her accident because i forgot to tell her in the message i sent her. I was wondering what day to you get home? We miss you lots. I hope your having fun in Mexico and keep us updated. talk to you soon!
Love You Lots!!!

hey grandpa how are you doing? How’s Mexico? Guess what our wrestling team won the state championship you know what that means i get another free t-shirt. yeah!!! it is the first time we have ever won a state championship. well i got to go i will talk to you later. bye bye.
Well it just figures that you would go and injure yourself just to get all the ladies attention. Some people will do anything for attention. somebody take that hammer drill away from Dale before he really hurts himself. Rookie. Have a great time Dale and Shar. I wish I could be there with you.
I gotta agree with Don! I mean how many people do I know that have set off the radiation detectors at the border – give me a minute………. still thinking………..still thinking……….. OK! I don’t know another person that has that distinction! And now you whack yourself in the head – give the man a paint brush for crying out loud. Maybe I better blog all the others involved to make sure they have their hardhats on – wait a minute, I don’t recall seeing any on the pictures! OK, enough ribbing, I’m glad it wasn’t any more serious than it was. It looks from the pics as if progress is being made! God bless you and Shar in your work there.

Its been a fun week so far and can`t believe we will be traveling home again in a few days. It great getting to know the people on the team better. To laugh with them, to hear about their God sightings, to hear their testmonies. God is certainly working in the lives of us here and in Templo Belen.
Well Don and Steve some of us will doing anything for attention.
Congraulation Zack on your wrestling team winning the state championship. Did you get a day off for that or did you hsve to many snow days already?
Dale

Awesome day yesteday! Lots of work and sunburn. The room is taking shape and we will be putting rafters up today. Last night I walked in to church sort of wishing I was sitting some place relaxing. I could harly keep my eyes open during the singing. Then Pastor David asked all of us to come up to the front, because they were going to pray for us. After we were prayed for the people from the church were asked to come forward so that we could pray for them. It was an awesome experience, even if it did put me out of my comfort zone alittle.

Just like to say to Art and Joanne thanks for making this a great trip. Everything was so well organized. Also to Ron and Jane for having thing ready here at Templo Belen, so we could start working the first day. And to the rest of the team it was great to get to know you all better and it was an honor to serve with you. Also thanks to the people back home for all your prayers.
