March 3, 2008

By vpmimpact

Today was a very busy and productive day for everyone.  We accomplished many things including the beginnnings to the addition of the new classrooms, the library, helping the teachers, and cooking.  We served dinner at the prison and even played a game of volleyball with them which was a lot of fun.  The weather has been challenging today but God made it possible for us to get done what needed to be done.  Of course we’re still eating well–Lety and Mari never stop cooking for us (those of you that have been here before, definitely know what I´m talking about!)  We are looking forward to another fruitful day of work tomorrow along with a couple of special events that the women and men will be attending separately.  If you have not had a chance to do so, check out the pictures on the site for more on what our trip has been like so far!

Guys, I talked to Art this morning and it’s good to hear that everything is going well. I truly hope that God blesses the experience and that all the team members are personnally and positively impacted through the trip. Have a great time!

    Hey there team!
Sounds like God is working and you are getting the opportunity and privilege to not just see it but to join him in it! My prayers are for all of you- for good health, deep relationships and an outpouring of God’s Spirit. Have fun and enjoy what God is doing in and through you!

On a different note, watch out how much food you eat. I gained ten pounds last year and haven’t been able to take it off lol. It is always more fun putting it on thans taking it off!

    Peace,
    Steve
